The researchers at Gateway Materials Test Center can tell you. They break things in their Fail Lab using Instron® materials testing systems to make sure they work – and we’re all safer for it. What makes this lab unique isn’t so much that they break and tear products apart, it’s that they’re able to provide their customers with feedback about why a product failed, as well as what can be done to prevent the failure, which is information engineers use to design products.
