Industrial Products Group Relocation Announcement

September 27, 2016

For Immediate Release

Instron®, a division of ITW, has announced the plans to consolidate its operations in Grove City, Pennsylvania into its facilities in Binghamton, New York and Norwood, Massachusetts.  Darcy Hunter, Vice President and General Manager for the Americas Static Business, shared his sentiments of the relocation:

With the significant investments we have made in our manufacturing facility in Binghamton, NY and streamlined operations in Norwood, MA, we have decided we will be moving all of the production from our Industrial Products Group (IPG) to these locations over the next 12–15 months.  These facilities already manufacture many of our IPG components and accessories, so this is a natural progression to continue to manufacture our premium products in the United States.”

Instron will continue to market, sell and support IPG products around the world. This manufacturing consolidation is expected to take place throughout 2017, with order pursuit and technical support teams remaining intact in Grove City.

Instron would like to thank our dedicated customers for their continued support during this next phase of our Industrial Products Group.
